A Rare Kind utilises Australia post E-parcel service for domestic delivery and will take between two [2] and five [5] business days to arrive. For express delivery will take between one [1] and two [2] business days. If you have any queries about shipping, please email us at

    A Rare Kind ships via registered and trackable airmail, which takes around six [6] and ten [10] business days to your country. For express delivery, we use Auspost Express & DHL Worldwide Express and typically take between three [3] and six [6] business days for delivery between major cities, excluding customs processing within your country.

    • US & Canada: We offer Economy Airmail, without tracking [$12] for up to 2kg [4.4 pound]. 
    • Express international [$45] complimentary on order over AUD [$500].

    Postage address

    International Delivery - A daytime delivery address must be provided since all parcels require a signature on delivery. PO Box Addresses are not accepted due to customs regulations for international delivery. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been dispatched and your parcel will be left at your local post office if there is no one available to accept the delivery.

    We provide tracking for Standard Airmail but not insurance with International Parcels, please notify us if you'd like to add insurance to your order.

    Duties, Taxes & Customs
    Local guidelines apply once your purchase arrives in the country of destination and may be subject to local customs duties and or local taxes in your country. These taxes and duties are not included in your original purchase. Please check with the local authority to ascertain these charges, as they are paid by the customers. We have no control over customs processing times or charges 

    Returns and Exchanges
    We want you to shop with confidence and flexibility, and so we offer a refund or exchange for change of mind on full-priced and sales items (some exclusions apply, see below for details).

    Domestic Returns and Exchanges
    For Australian customers, returns must be received within 7 days of you receiving your item. We recommend you ship your returns to us using a registered, traceable service. a rare kind will refund the value of the item (via the original form of payment) less the return shipping charge of $10 (for Australian orders) within three [3] to five [5] business days.

    International Returns and Exchanges
    For international customers, returns must be received within 15 business days of you receiving your item. We understand international shipping times can vary so contact us once your item arrives to arrange for return. 

    Please note returned items must be shipped at your expense and we cannot be held liable for missing parcels. We recommend you ship your returns to us using a registered, traceable and fully insured service. once we receive the return, we will issue a full refund for the item cost (minus shipping costs) within 7 days.

    To return items they must be in their original condition: unworn, unwashed, unused and with all tags attached and associated packaging in original condition (including undamaged shoe box’s and unmarked shoe soles). Garments received with make-up marks will not be accepted for exchange or return as all returned merchandise need to be in their original condition.

    We do not offer refunds on final sale items. However we will accept exchange for another size subject to availability.

    Unfortunately due to hygiene reasons, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges on earrings, underwear, swimwear, hosiery and socks.

    A Rare Kind will continue to communicate with you, via email or phone, at various stages of the process, to ensure you are well informed of the progress of your return. Rare kind reserves the right to reject returns or exchanges that do not comply with the guidelines and process as stated above. In the instance your item is not accepted, it will be returned to you and neither a refund nor exchange will be granted.

    Faulty and Incorrect Items
    We comply with Australian consumer law, and in the event that the item you receive is faulty or the wrong item is sent to you, please contact us with details and photos (if possible) of the issue within 7 days and we will arrange for a full refund including shipping costs. We can also offer an exchange [subject to availability] or store credit. in the case of a minor fault, we can also repair or replace the item subject to availability.
